Please take a moment to check out the following link to Chris Baskins
website. He will be coming for a visit in the next week or so to present a
slide show of this current work and also demonstrate a couple of new
techniques. His work is amazing and I am sure that you will find it inspiring.
With only a few weeks left in the school year I really want to encourage you to
take advantage of the studio and make a lot of quality art!!

This looks like some pretty cool work. Hopefully we'll be able to learn and gain new insight from the demonstrations and presentation. Almost done!

ReplyDeleteKinda bummed I didn't get to see him demo some of his work:(
ReplyDeleteI liked his work, but did anyone notice that he didn't really seem to care what the outcome looked like. I think a few of us could learn from that and try not to be perfect.
ReplyDeleteI like how he finished a lot of his pieces with the glazed almost slapped on and the deeper meaning he applied to them.
ReplyDeletegood job seniors, we're all but done now! it's been a great year
ReplyDeleteI had mixed feelings about the guest artist, I think it was good to be exposed to his artwork, but it didn't seem like he put very much effort into the forms. The glazing was really well done though.
ReplyDeleteMiss the seniors already!
